The government today clarified that the cash relief of Rs. 5.50 lakh each, which is part of Prime Ministers’ Developmental Package, is to be disbursed among internally and externally displaced families from the state.
These include displaced families from Chhamb and Pakistan-administered Kashmir, said an official spokesman.
He said that in a handout issued on Tuesday, West Pakistan Refugees had inadvertently cropped up instead of families displaced from PaK and Chhamb.
He said Rs. 2000 crore have been earmarked in the Prime Ministers Developmental Package for disbursement as cash relief among these internally and the externally displaced families.
The spokesman said the government will formally roll out the cash relief disbursement process for the internally and externally displaced families of the state in Jammu soon.
