2-day international conference concludes at SMVDU

KATRA: Two- day International Conference on Machine Learning and Computational Intelligence, ICMLCI – 2017”, organized by the department of Computer Science and Engineering, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, concluded.
Many papers were presented in the technical sessions over the span of two days. There were total of 5 technical sessions that were chaired by the renowned researchers from the field of academics and industry. Dr Haider Banka, IIT, Dhanbad; Dr Suresh Dara, BVRIT, Telengana; Dr Narendra Kohli, Professor and Head of the Department of Computer Science, HBTU Kanpur; Dr Santosh Kr Nanda, Sr Software Engineer, WESEE, New Delhi; Dr V M Thakre and Dr S S Sherekar, Professor, from SGB, Amaravati University, Maharashtra, chaired the technical sessions along with Dr Manoj Kr Gupta, Dr Sunanda, Sonika Gupta, Sanjay Sharma and Dr Naveen Gondhi, faculty, department of Computer Science and Engineering, SMVDU.
The conference saw a huge response and participation from different States of India and abroad. In the last technical session held, the papers were presented live on Skype by the authors who were unable to visit the campus of the university. The concept and the approaches towards the area of Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence presented during the conference were very much appreciated by all the session chairs. They were highly impressed by the type of research work undertaken by the researchers and the students of MTech and B.Tech program at SMVDU. The series of activities came to an end with honoring of the invited speakers and guest of honors by presenting them a token of gratitude in the form of mementoes by Dr Ajay Koul, Conference Chairman, ICMLCI, and by faculty of department of Computer Science and Engineering, SMVDU. The organizing team of the conference was headed by Dr Baijnath Kaushik, Head of the Department, Computer Science and Engineering, SMVDU.
