Assam’s Manashi Sahariah is the winner of The Voice India Kids 2

voice-mos1_0Singing reality show The Voice India Kids 2 has finally bid adieu. Assam girl Manashi Sahariah of coach Palak Muchhal’s team took home the trophy Sunday night. She not only took home the winner’s trophy but also a cheque of Rs. 25,00,000.
Manashi Sahariah fought for her spot with five other contestants–Shekinah Mukhiya, Guntaas Kaur, Mohammad Faazil, Shruti Goswami and Neelanjana Ray. Truly, the small town girl has made it big for herself.
After the win, the 11-year-old Manashi Sahariah said, “Firstly I would like to thank the people of my village who always believed in my talent and supported my dreams. Having said that, I am truly blessed to have mentored under the guidance of Coach Palak Muchhal because not only did she invest time and energy in me, she truly inspired me in my journey. The Voice India Kids has given me a reason to believe that talent finds its due platform. I have gained a lot on from this stage friendship, love, respect and a teacher whom I will always treasure.”
Aged between 7- 14 years, the contestants were tested on the power of their ‘voice’ by convincing the coaches to root for them. The musical journey was judged by – ace singer and music director–Himesh Reshammiya; the ever-smiling and inimitable singer Shaan; and the youngest coach–Palak Muchhal.
