School education department has withheld upgradation of 210 government schools for lacking feasibility which is a prerequisite for upgradation to the higher level.
In October last year, Jammu and Kashmir cabinet had approved upgradation of 400 government schools – 200 middle schools and 200 high schools – to their next level.
However, the department approved upgradation of only 189 government schools and classes have been started in most of the upgraded schools. 2018_7$largeimg228_Jul_2018_004845020
